Suan Sati, Chiang Mai
Suan Sati’s intention is to be a place to practice Buddha-Dhamma through meditation, asana yoga, ecological integration, and community living. Underlying this intention is the view that every moment is an opportunity to practice. The space is made conducive to practice by returning to this intention through morning meditation, asana yoga classes, observation and interaction with nature, and in the invitation to bring mindfulness into daily life.
Theory: The juicy bit of the course where we will have the opportunity to intricately break down the components of the course and reveal what it all means.
Art of Teaching and Asana Breakdown: These classes are where we will breakdown what it means to teach Yin Yoga and its aspects. You could call this the ‘behind the scenes’ of yin yoga teaching – the ‘how to’ and the ‘why’.
Want to teach Yin Yoga? On a teaching level, you will significantly enhance your teaching style and technique with your personality. You will refresh your knowledge of the elements surrounding Yin Yoga (depending on your course selection) through experiential workshops and theory sessions. Courses cover areas such as functional anatomy, fascial studies, bio-individuality of the body, Chinese Medicine, the 5 elements, meditation, pranayama, mindfulness, yogic philosophy, yoga nidra, neuroplasticity and aromatherapy.
Empowering Evening Practice: Evening practice incorporates a multitude of inner practices that range from yang styles of yoga and movement to a meditation circle.
I am a new yin yoga teacher as I just started my journey in 2018. I wanted to learn and go deeper because I have a passion to share this yoga with my students and family. This experience has transformed my reservations, knowledge, fears and hesitations into something that will make a big difference as a teacher, wife, student and woman. The most important thing I learned was the art of propping and mindful wording while teaching. This experience is for everyone who is into Yoga, student or teacher. Thank you for being so accommodation since day one of communication, months before the course, until the last day. You made everything so accessible – You rock!
