Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Bali has a special kind of magic that brings wonderful people together. The island shines bright in healing and health. The tropical trees give a sense of awe while the local culture gives a spice of life.  Ubud, meaning medicine, is a place in Bali which is full of colour and vibe! Lined with beaches, nothing on the island is too far of a journey for exploration and wonder. This is the perfect place to retreat yourself and to practice Yin Yoga.

The Damayanti, Ubud

Our space is a beautiful wonderland where human meets nature, nature meets heart and heart meets soul. The intention within our this is to be a place to practice Buddha-Dhamma through meditation, asana yoga, integration of all the elements and community living. Underlying this intention is the view that every moment is an opportunity to practice.

With a private swimming pool to dip in between classes, and a meditation and massage grotto upstairs, there are plenty of facilities to accommodate your experience of nourishment. The rooms are beautifully presented in Balinese style, offering a serene environment for comfort and culture. Being close to Ubud, but not in the centre of the hustle and bustle it is easy to reach cafes and restaurants for the evening and day off.

Course Structure

Morning Class: The main practice of the day, incorporating Yin Yoga and meditation themed on the days content. This is your time to drop in to you and your practice.

Theory: The juicy bit of the course where we will have the opportunity to intricately break down the components of the course and reveal what it all means.

Art of Teaching and Asana Breakdown: These classes are where we will breakdown what it means to teach Yin Yoga and its aspects. You could call this the ‘behind the scenes’ of yin yoga teaching – the ‘how to’ and the ‘why’.

Want to teach Yin Yoga? On a teaching level, you will significantly enhance your teaching style and technique with your personality. You will refresh your knowledge of the elements surrounding Yin Yoga (depending on your course selection) through experiential workshops and theory sessions. Courses cover areas such as functional anatomy, fascial studies, bio-individuality of the body, Chinese Medicine, the 5 elements, meditation, pranayama, mindfulness, yogic philosophy, yoga nidra, neuroplasticity and aromatherapy.

Empowering Evening Practice: Evening practice incorporates a multitude of inner practices that range from yang styles of yoga and movement to a meditation circle.

I require some Yin in my life. This course was great. What Becky, Gabs and Michelle did was amazing all from the 4 bodies, 4 principles, anatomy, chinese medicine & 5 elements, sequencing and the villa and the heart warming group of people.I learned how to take Yin and Yoga off the mat which was one of the best results of the course as well as learning to theme with the 5 elements. I hope to run workshops with the help of Becky and her mentorship. What you do at this school is amazing, thank you – keep dong it! Arna
